Things to Do in Southern Illinois: A Day at The Patch

If you’re searching for things to do in Southern Illinois that feel simple in the best way, fresh air, seasonal traditions, and activities for every age...welcome to The Patch.

We built this place for the kind of day where kids can run, families can make memories, and you don’t feel like you need a full itinerary to have fun.

Classic Patch favorites (seasonal things to do in Southern Illinois)

Depending on the time of year, you’ll find:

  • Pumpkin picking (a true Patch tradition)

  • Hayrides for laid-back farm vibes

  • Corn maze fun for kids, teens, and grown-ups

  • Farm friends come feed our farm critters

  • Kids Zone with room to climb, play, and burn energy

The BIG attraction: Turn & Burn Mega Slide

The Turn & Burn Mega Slide has become a crowd favorite—especially for older kids, teens, and adults. It’s fast, fun, and the kind of thing that turns “we’ll do one ride” into “okay… one more.”

Quick rule note: Riders must be 42”+ and ride solo (no lap riders).

Seasonal events

We host special event days throughout the year, including:

  • Fern Day (Spring)

  • Mum Day (Late Summer)

  • Fall Season Opening

  • Christmas Tree season

Exact dates can vary—check our blog updates and social pages for official announcements.
